Issue with Nanao MS9
« on: September 07, 2014, 07:51:39 pm »
I am having an issue with the MS9 in my Egret 2. The chassis has been services with new caps fitted. The picture is great apart from a really annoying wobble in the bottom left and right hand corners of the screen. I have done everything I can think of to try and resolve it. The whole monitor has been out the cab and set-up by Gunblade. The loom has been checked, everything that could cause problems has been switched off / removed. Could this be a problem with Groovymame?

Andy, does the wobble only appear in mame or is it on everything, desktop other pcbs etc?

What sort of transformer is in your cab?

I am running Groovymame, but it is also present when using a pcb.

Cheers Scott.

My question about the transformer still holds so!

Hi Andypc,

The problem is not from the software side, that's for sure.

Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

If ht happens with a PCB then it's definitly not software related.

have you tried unplugging the built in degausser? are there unshielded speakers near by the monitor? are there any power lines run near the tube like perhapse AC lines for a marquee lamp?  I've seen all of those things cause wobble in a monitor.

Try adjusting the flyback?
