Wells Gardner K7400 Issue; Help Appreciated
« on: August 29, 2014, 12:08:48 pm »
Hey Everyone,

First time posting in this forum -- hope I can get a little advice on a monitor issue.

I have this K7401 Wells Gardner, I've installed a cap kit, flyback and have degaussed it about 8 times, and have even rotated the cabinet -- but for some reason i'm getting color fade on the left side of the screen.

I am curious if this looks like a chassis issue or is the tube going? Perhaps its a candidate for a rejuve?

Video:

Thanks,
John

thats purity
or your yoke shifted..
or your purity ring's were bumped..
go to cross hatch make sure all the line's square up.
then go to over all purity

Thanks, that was the issue -- but as i was turning it all the purity rings came apart in my hand. Hopefully I can find a replacement.

Thanks Ed

I took off the convergence rings and saw a crack, hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Thanks,
John

I exposed the pic a little more to show the crack -- also, would you know which resellers i might want to check out for this part?

I really appreciate all your efforts -- thank you

Thanks,
John

truly i thought the white mark i saw  was the nick...
they are over all gomerty ring's >main purifer's< pre say
we can do a walk around, as they are hard to get a hold of >to my know<
i salvage very little of them..
the walk around uses the old salvage mag's from hard drive's
because they are colbalt..very sweet for this matter...
let me chk my suppiler's,as i know exactley what i am asking for...
rickn a op here may have some spare's..but that is a 50/50..as they are glued in..
but i do exactley  konw what i am asking for..let me ring him up..
if he dose not? i will walk u through the trick..

as a matter of notice
do not remove any more of them,u risk doing more damage then good right now..

It looks like 3 out of the 7 rings have broken apart.

2 of them are still intact with tabs, and the remaining two are still in a ring shape but are missing tabs.
