MAMEwah running shell issue
« on: December 11, 2003, 04:32:24 am »
Hey, so I have mamewah running pretty well.

Tonight I set it up to run as shell.

No images are visible... and games will not load. I thought it was a problemm with the iPac at first... but I can configure MAMEwah and use iPac's shift key just fine. I'm guessing that there is a problem with the path setup. If it's running as shell do I have to explicitly spell out the path to the roms... i.e. c:\progra~1\mame\mamewah\roms and similar for snaps and the like? Right now they are relative paths i.e. snap, and roms, flyers, etc.

I haven't refreshed the game list, but I'm assuming that won't work as well.

Is there something that needs to be changed in the setup of MAMEwah if it is running as shell versus running as a regular application?

I recall some people running MW as a shell said to disable the Welcome Screen - I think that is only in 2k/XP.

You should always explicitly state your filenames / paths in MW tho, you don't need to in MAME itself.
