This week I finally set up my PC to output to my CRT TV. I have run into a slight problem. My current setup is a dual -boot system. I installed Windows XP 64-bit as my secondary OS to use for arcade and retro emulation.
The problem is my PC displays through my primary gpu, a HD6950, whereas I obviously want XP to display on my X1950 with CRT_emudriver. There is no option in my BIOS for setting which PCIe slot is primary/secondary. The only way I've manage to boot XP with the X1950, is to disconnect my HD6950. Not a very good solution and very annoying as the card's fans then run at full speed and are extremely noisy. The only other option is to completely remove the HD6950 from my system every time I want to boot into XP. Another crappy solution as removing and inserting a GPU that frequently is bound to go wrong. I'll either fry the card of worse my mobo or PSU.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to make XP default to my X1950?
Edit: Firgured out. There was a BIOS option for PCI graphics and I used safe mode to disable the hd6950 for XP. Now onto some gaming
