screenshots in mame don't work
« on: December 08, 2003, 06:45:57 am »
I'm running mame32 and for some reason the screenshots don't work... unless you are adjusting the size of the window
I know that probably sounds weird but it's true
on games that i don't have SS's it's the generic MAME logo but on the ones that i do it's grey unless I'm grabbing the corner of the window and adjusting the size, as soon as I let go it's grey again
this isn't a huge deal or anything to me, so if nobody knows then oh well I'll get over it
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

...do you have XP?....have you tried system restore? (most likely won't work but perhaps it's worth a try).

Also, as an experiment perhaps try reloading your version of mame (start with a fresh file ...no roms, art etc.). Then load up a few snaps. See if they show up OK....if they do, you've probably somehow changes a cfg. file somewhere.

I don't have a lot of computer experience but I've solved similar "oddities" like yours by simply reloading mame (and then moving all of my art, cab etc. files over to the new version).

Just drag all of the files over...it should only take about 10 min to be up and running again.

The MameMaster!
Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?
