So I've finally managed to lay my hands on a TV with a scart input (and another with component) and I've made a VGA -> Scart cable that works brilliantly.
I'm using a laptop with an ATI Mobility x700, and the cable is attached to the external VGA port. I can tell Windows to make the TV the primary monitor, which allows the video card to display in the low resolutions needed. Soft15khz works with it, but I'd like to try CRT_Emudriver as well, see which one is better for me. However, when I try to install it, I get an INF error and a message saying "Video driver not found". It also says something about generic drivers not working, but the currently-installed drivers on the card are Catalyst 6.5 from ATI, not the included Winblows XP drivers.
The x700 is on the compatibility list, but I can't find anything to indicate one way or another if the fact that it's a Mobility card means it won't work.
Can anyone shed any light on this one?
