Help with color problem on Sony PVM
« on: June 17, 2014, 10:12:55 pm »
Hello, new user here. I recently picked up a Sony PVM-20M2U for retro games and overall it's a good working monitor except for an annoying issue with the color RED coming through as more of a orange color. I noticed it almost immediately with fighting games that have blood. I downloaded the 240p test suite for Sega Genesis and brought up a color bar test and I verified that the color red does indeed look orange. I've tried adjusting color settings in the menu, but it was ineffective. I am using RGB Scart cables for my consoles. Is this a common problem with monitors and is there a way to fix it? I have some technical expertise so I don't mind opening up the unit to perform adjustments if it's possible. Any input would be appreciated.
