Arcade Jukebox 6 Fixed
« on: March 18, 2002, 01:31:13 pm »
OK,  now that we have determined that my kung fu isn't the best, I have fixed Arcade Jukebox 6.

In responce to the replies I received I have made the following changes.

1.  Only one version.  This version has an entry in the AJ6.ini file

[View Options]

; options are:
; 1: full screen
; 2: windowed at 800x600
; 3: windowed at 640x480
; 4: windowed at 400x300

This should work for just about everyone.

2. Some people complained the songs would enter the play area and disappear.  This is caused by leaving out a "\" at the end of the directory path.

It should look like this:

d3 path=d:\mp3\this is a new folder\
d3 text=User Preset 3

3.  The keyboard support not working was due to the fact that I can't spell "navigation".  My bad. Should work now.

4.  No more desktop resizing.  See change 1.

5.  Howard mentioned that during a scan of his local drive the program would lockup.  I haven't been able to reproduce this error.  If you have a very large harddrive this process could take  awhile.

That should be it.  Thanks to everyone who gave me feedback.  It really helped.

Mark

Works Great man!

It still won't let me scan my harddrive though..... :(
It doesn't lock up, it out right crashes..... xp comes up with it's "this application has performed a fatal error" almost immediately upon clicking on the button.  I ran it through a debugger and it says that the director player has recieved an invalid instruction (yeah i know that could be anything.)

hope that helps and keep up the good work!

After reading Howards post, I tried out the hard drive search on my computer and it's okay for me, but I'm running win98se.  Maybe an OS issue.

I am running XP and it works perfectly for me. I did notice that it won't see dirs with "."s, maybe other charaters as well.

Thanks Mark!!!

Maybe it's the file system type.... I've got my mp3 drive setup as ntfs for stabilities sake.  Also I have an odd-ball drive letter.(g:)  I hope that helps.  For the record it scans fine when I manually enter a path.... it's like it can't see what drive it resides in.

I scaned my local C drive (NTFS) and that works. I also searched with Browse for Search Directory pointed at E drive (FAT32) and that worked as well. It did bring up, as mp3s, some dirs with mp3 in the name in both cases. I can't seem to reproduce your error.

I also pointed it at my G drive (NTFS) and it worked for me.
