Monroe Joystick model...
« on: December 04, 2003, 08:20:27 pm »
Wasn't sure where to put this, so I figured Everything Else is a safe bet. :)

One of my other hobbies is 3D modeling. I had the Monroe joystick from my Time Pilot cabinet disassembled for cleaning, so I broke out the calipers and modeled all the joystick's parts. The 2 way and 4 way directional plates are educated guesses based on the 8 way plate and a reference drawing in the Time Pilot operator's manual.

Very nice. Monroe joysticks are getting mighty hard to find. Too bad they're so scarce because as you know they have a pretty nice feel to them. My ex girlfriends brother had a Gyruss upright and it had a Monroe stick in it. I cleaned the leaf switches for him because he didn't know $hit about arcade games. I think I played it more then he did. ;D.
