right now I don't have space for a real machine, but I would love to run a pinball emu for now.

what's the best one with real actual tables?

how is the set up?

visual pinball has the most real tables.  you can find a widescreen version of almost any real game and the popular ones have fullscreen versions as well.  if you go to VPforums.org they have good tutorials on how to get started. 

FP requires more system resources, has a nicer look and fewer tables developed.  don't know much more than that on FP.

I use both Future Pinball and Visual Pinball. Both have their strengths and weakness, however, I believe that both programs now have a large collection of "real" or digitally recreated tables. I play Future Pinball more because of the excellent 3D graphics and camera options. Future Pinball's physics have been vastly improved recently with the availability of Physics 2.5+, ZedPinball Physics, and/or BAM.
