Well i'm suprised that I haven't seen this software listed on BYOAC before. I was just browsing some stuff on some German page and stumbled upon some cool software that is right up our alley:
JoystickMouseTool - Controls Mouse with the Joystick
webpage
manual
download - 9.4kb
and
JoystickCursorTool - Simulates keyboard strokes using the joystick
webpage
manual
download - 19.5kb

What kind of joystick would this be used for? Since usually, people use encoders which translate the switches into keypresses.

Well for example I've seen people looking for ways to control the keyboard or mouse using a joystick. Dont forget that a lot of folks on here use joystick hacks too.
