X360 hacking/modding. Am I doing it right?
« on: April 07, 2014, 11:21:55 am »
so.. I'm looking to mod my xbox 360.  I've read up quite a bit and think I know what I want to/have to do...  I just want someone to confirm.

Motherboard Identified as:  Falcon
Why:
PSU 175w 12v 14.2A
MFR Date 2008-08-07

Dash: 2.0.16547
Drive: LiteOn   :( (Need a Probe3)

-----------------------------
To mod:
I believe I need the following:

Extracting Drive Key:
Probe3 for extracting firmware
Xecuter Ck3 Lite to power the drive
X360 USB Pro to connect to PC

ODE Mod:
xkey reloaded

Software:
Jungleflasher for key extraction
ABGX360 for topology patching ISOs.

I realize the following XGD2 games have topology checks:
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Black Ops
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit
Fable 3
Halo Reach
Assassins Creed Brotherhood

As do all XGD3 games.
-------------------------------------

Missing anything?
Any way to not spend $100 to extract the drive key?

you should consider doing  RGH ;D and then you can play any games  you want.  XBLA(arcade), XGD3,etc.

why do you need xkey ode?? you dont need xkey to play "obtained" games..

or you can avoid all that and have me to do the RGH for you lol..

RGH is the way to go.
If you are looking to flash the drive with hope of not getting banned on live, I'm 99% sure you are going to get banned anyway.

Live has little to do with it... I *WOULD* like to be able to "turn off" whatever solution I have so I can play my store-bought games on Live.. and I believe the ode allows that (I could be wrong).

Also, doesn't RGH require an older dash?  I have the newest dash version.

turning off ODE wont help with anything lol. when you play bootleg games even offline, the xbox keeps track of it and uploads it when you sign on to live. xkey and all those stuff is far from "safe".

safest way to play online is standard LT+ dvd drive mod. I had mine online since the beginning of time and never got banned. you would be ok as long as the games are "made" properly with the newest method. and you obviously dont wanna play anything before its actually out.

rgh doesn't require older dashboard as of now. any dashboard works for jasper and falcon chipset for phat xboxes and trinity for slims(august2011 or before)

even safer way is dual nand rgh and playing original games online. then your whole nand is switched so there is no record of any bootleg games on your original nand that goes online. but due to cost of chips I dont really offer dual nand service(the demon chip cost like 70 + labor lol...just buy another xbox then)
