Post your windows startup and shutdown files (logo.sys, logos.sys, logow.sys) - or screenshots of them.

This should be good for the archives.

Currently I am using this one:

found here:
http://www.dragonslairii.com/arcade/MAMEv1/Download.asp
but I want to find another...perhaps an Ikari Warriors or Forgotten Worlds  :o

5 MAME cabs and counting...

Ever wonder what full side art looks like?

This only works for win98, not XP

Yes and most of us are running xp at this point for stability reasons.

I just use the mamewah logo on an all black background for my XP bootscreen.  Nobody knows what mamewah is but they don't realize that they are booting into windows either.

Yes and most of us are running xp at this point for stability reasons.

Don't be so sure of that.  Most of the posts I see are for 98.

thanks spamme

I didn't realize we were exclusively XP here or I wouldn't have posted ::)

I find it hard to believe that a mame machine runs into many stability problems - are you guys running them for weeks on end?

At any rate - this isn't a 9X vs XP thread - I just wanted to see some of your boot screens.

I just used XrX logo to make an Ikari Warriors screen, but I'll need to practice more with the color selection for animation - cool though!

I'm using 98, and I thank you for posting.  I think 98 is much easier to deal with than XP and since it's been around for a while I can usually work around things that I have no clue about with XP.

I think this is an awsome idea...for BOTH XP and 98. So post 'em if you've got'em. And how 'bout an archive somewhere? Anybody have the space/bandwith?  ;)

But maybe you will get lucky :)
