Proper way to mount an LCD is a cabinet or cocktail cabinet?
« on: March 30, 2014, 11:04:24 pm »
What are my mounting options?

The plans are to buy an empty shell, mount an LCD, and connect a Jamma board.

I'd prefer to go with a cocktail cabinet, but standup would be my plan B.

Suggestions?

Also, what size LCD shpuld I go with? Its a 19" screen I'm pulling, so just go with a 19" widescreen LCD?

Depending on your budget and your goals it looks like you can pick up a dedicated 19" arcade monitor that has built in mounting tabs for around $250.  For a classic cabinet, that should be perfect. http://www.ebay.com/itm/19-Arcade-Game-LCD-Monitor-for-Arcade-Cabinets-MAME-/330677710380?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cfded6e2c  When this link expires, just google LCD arcade monitor.
