Mame Artwork
« on: March 28, 2014, 05:34:23 am »
Does anyone know of a good place to get marquees for my frontend?  I'm using mala, and I have about 1500 games.  Only about half of them actually have good quality marquees, some don't have any at all.  I'm trying to decide whether it's quicker to go through and delete all the games that don't have a marquee, or download the remaining ones.  Either way, neither sounds like a quick job lol.

I'm kicking myself because on my previous build I had hyperspin and I had graphics for every game, and I had preview videos for every game.  The machine fried and I had to settle for a simpler frontend on the new system.

emumovies.com is a good place to start.

Also, www.progettosnaps.net

Might be a good idea to pick up a 1TB USB drive and back it all up once you've gotten things setup. I happen to use mypcbackup.com for cloud based backup, but I also refresh a USB drive every so often. That'd be a lot of work to loose. and those drives are cheap nowadays

Cheers, I seem to remember using emumovies before but couldn't find any of the downloads.  I think I used to connect via ftp and I've lost the login details.  Thanks for your help anyway, much appreciated.  This gives me something to go on.

For the DS I used to use a program that scanned all your roms and downloaded the information for them and renamed all your files.  It's a shame there isn't a similar program for mame roms.
