Photo Play 2000, chassis & video questions
« on: March 20, 2014, 07:43:05 am »
Hey guys

I just got a photo play 2000, with defective PC. Since it is a pc, I got interested in the chassis and CRT
Does anybody knows the resolution of these guys? They're from 1999, so would it be too much to ask
for 800x600 31kHz ?

Also, before I disconnect everything, how does the VGA signal from the PC enter the chassis? From just
looking at it, it seems like the neckboard is different than usual?

Would it be possible to strip away the touch-screen and use the chassis/CRT with another VGA source?

Thanks,

Nicholas

Ok, I've been looking more into it...it seems that the VGA signal is routed through the neckboard? Why is this, and is
it necessary? Can't I just run the VGA directly into the chassis?

Thanks :)

its most likely 640 x 480 31khz,but model number would be nice
vga goes to neck card as all the decoding is done on the neck card

you can remove the touchscreen and use as a standard vga monitor

Hi, thanks for your reply!

I have a number that says VSK-20439TD and VT-2040F

Both of them are on the chassis

Thanks!  :)
