Cap kit for Wei-Ya 826HR?
« on: March 02, 2014, 08:39:44 pm »
I am looking to repair a buddy's monitor that is long overdue for a cap kit. I emailed Bob Roberts and he said he doesn't think their one weiya cap kit works with that particular chassis, as it is for the older models.
If anyone has successfully done one of these could you please chime in on where you got it? Any info would be immensely appreciated...
Thanks!

Look at each electrolytic capacitor and write down the existing values and location to make up your own kit. Then you order those capacitors.

Bob Roberts sells individual capacitors. The cap kits he sells are made up from lists that people have provided him over the years.

By the way, when you look at the chassis to write down the capacitor values, be sure to note if there is any polarity errors in the silkscreened markings on the board. Some chassis like Hantarex are known to have some polarity markings silkscreened incorrectly.
