PC Game Screens in MameWAH???
« on: December 02, 2003, 10:54:42 am »
I am trying to add screenshots to MameWAH of the few pc games I launch from this frontend.  I went online and downloaded a few pics of the games in jpg and bmp formats.  I am using the new setup program and I can assign the pics to the game lnk's in the list and the pics show up in the setup program.   When I launch MameWAH though, I get no screenshots.  Is there a size limit or something I'm missing here?  Any help is greatly appreciated!

There is no size limit.  All I can think is to check that the images are named the same as the LNK's, and that the 'Artwork #? Path' is set correctly for your image location.

One other thing you could check is the color depth of your layout.  The standard layouts are in 16-bit color; try changing it to 32-bit using the Layout Designer.

I tried the 32-bit deal and MameWAH wouldn't even run, so I changed it back.  I let it sit there long enough for the slide show screen saver to come on and when it did, it popped up with an error that said "Invalid picture".  All the pics are in either jpg or bmp, so I don't understand why they don't work?  Any ideas?  Thanks!   ;D
