Can't turn up the contrast, bleeding colors
« on: March 01, 2014, 08:36:31 pm »
I was making some tests with an arcade chassis that I just bought, until I forgot to connect the ground cable that goes from the tube to the yoke board while I was swapping the chassis into one of the compatible tubes that I have laying around, needless to say that  the signal deflection IC got fried.

The IC model is "DBL 2009" manufactured by Daewoo, I could not find a replacement so searched for similar IC's and I found that the Hitachi HA11235 is compatible with the Daewoo.

I soldered the Hitachi IC into the chassis and while it works again I can't turn up the contrast, if I move the pots I only get bleeding/blown colors, could be that the HA11235 is not 100% compatible with the DBL2009? or is there another component of the chassis that got fried??

The tube is still in one piece, no blue glow.

I haven't checked the volts on the IC.
