I'm kinda bummed

Thanks for the share.

Why no full screen?  WTH!?
[/commentary]

I wondered to myself if that meant it was on PC yet.  Checked steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/236470/

The PC release suffers from the same bezel nonsense.

Read comments:
Battle Royale doesn't have a multiplayer function.

Deal killer.

To steam with you folks to state your dismay and distaste!

WHAT?!?

Can we get a copy of Sjaak's remake if we provide proof of purchase for the crappy steam version?  >:D
EDIT: NAMCO should have just sold Sjaak's version and given him a cut!

I think my brain just exploded from the sheer lack of logic in regards to releasing a 4 player game without the option to play with 3 other people.

Can we confirm this or is it just some idgit on the steam boards that doesn't know what they are talking about?

About the Game
PAC-MAN stars in a nostalgia-packed collection of the greatest PAC-MAN games of all time. PAC-MAN MUSEUM will include classic PAC-MAN titles as well as newer releases, allowing gamers to play through the evolution of PAC-MAN from his humble beginnings from 1980 through current hits like PAC-MAN Championship Edition and PAC-MAN Battle Royale.
KeyFeatures
Classic PAC-MAN Games – Includes hits such as PAC-MAN, SUPER PAC-MAN, PAC-LAND, PAC-MAN Battle Royale, PAC-MAN Championship Edition, and more
PAC-MAN Navigation System – Assists players by helping them find the best routes through mazes
Stage Save Function – Allows you to save your progress between stages
Multiplayer PAC-MAN – For the first time, PAC-MAN Battle Royale brings the 4-player arcade hit home
Online Features
Worldwide Leaderboards – Challenge the best players in the world on your favorite PAC-MAN games

It could be misinformation.  I'm not paying $20 for the privilege to find out though.  If it wasn't for the bezel issues and the steep price I might be able to answer that.

We'll see during the spring sale.

According to the game play options it has up to 4 players in Battle Royale but looks like you need 4 controllers to use it and same with 2 player pac attack - if using a keyboard it is only single player and the multi player seems to be local only and only with game pad controllers ( so looks like a keyboard encoder would not be useable for multi player but perhaps multiple zd or a xin mo encoder might work.

x360kb files from the SSFIV keyboard workaround sticky in the software forum will probably fix things.

Sometimes you'll run into issues if the keyboard controls in game can't be remapped to unused keys, but I've only run into a couple Steam games that it wouldn't work with.

Since getting into the steam games on my cab though, I've tired of the workarounds and switched to hacked xbox pads.
It's nice to install a game and have it just work without even having to map anything.

i can confirm that i was able to get 3 players with my xbox controllers . but it is going to be a pain in the ass to configure this. The idiot that coded this made "S" and "D" menu button. Apparently this idiot has never played a wasd game before. So its not going to be cab friendly for me

Well at least it is there but they really could have done this much better -- which is a shame as it would have been worth the $20 if it had online 4 player competition and was a bit more cabinet friendly - really a shame to see them release it this way !

I think we have to say his name 3 times.

Howard Casto

I'm holding hope that since he was hopeful of the last one, this one might work to.

Better say Le Chuck's name 3 times too since he expressed interest.

I had time and made a quick and dirty theme for HS. My stuff is too rough around the edges to pass hyperspin approval process so, you can enjoy it here. Not to mention that the game is called pac-man museum not, battle royale.

You know since it's winter time and I don't have much of a tan, it's dry outside so my hair starts to curl and I'm in need of a haircut you'd be surprised how accurate that pic is these days.

I can't fix every game unfortunately... the trend seems to be to use xbox 360 controllers, so I guess we need to start building cabs with 360 controllers.

I'd could be persuaded.  Would be nice if there was something to be done about the absence of Full screen.

It depends upon the render method they are using.  Fullscreen is typically fakable..... now rotation often poses a problem, but that's another issue.

Well I'm not sure what to make of it.  The Demo only contains Pacman DX and it doesn't suffer from any of the issues people are complaining about.  Runs fullscreen on my 1600x900 monitor just fine.

I can totally see having issues with the older pacman games, but battle royale doesn't make any sense to me.  Didn't it run on a 1080p monitor?

I will say this.  Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be a loose collection of game files like dx ce.  It has an exe in the install folder and that's it.  So maybe they wised up.

Here's a couple screens of what it looks like on a 1920x1080 monitor -- runs in 1280x720 res (stretched to fullscreen) with a large bezel area !

PS3 version requires 4.50, so I haven't messed with it yet.

PC version is miserable.  Xbox 360 version is better.  Both suffer from horrid borders around Battle Royale.  Cannot configure anything on either version.  Honestly, it's not that great a game in the arcade either but this is really bad.

Only consolation is once Namco starts whoring something, they never stop.  Give it 5 years and we'll have a good port somewhere.
