WG D9500 on new PC (UEFI and resolutions)
« on: February 13, 2014, 10:43:23 pm »
New PCs as you've probably seen ship w/ Windows 8.  I've managed to figure out how to get Windows to run in a lower resolution, but even @ 800x600 60hz I get out of range.  I could have sworn this monitor had no issues with that size and even 1024x768 for vector games worked for me.

From what I can tell there is no way to disable the UEFI splash screen/POST which seems to run at a resolution of 1280x1024.  No harm seems to be done to the monitor, but if Windows can't run at 800x600, I have issues.

Anyone else wrestling with this stuff?
