Killer Instinct 1 or 2 Control Panel Layout

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to this forum, I have searched everywhere but looks like I couldn't find or I may be overlooked. 

I need a favor about Killer Instinct 1 or 2's control panel layout like 1P and 2P Joysticks and Buttons holes where I should be drilled.. Since I have an arcade cabinet is "Skins Game" that I'd like to convert to Killer Instinct since both arcade cabinet are pretty much identical but control panel..

Hopefully someone here can help you out.  But if you can't find it here, check over at KLOV - those guys tend to be more hardcore about restorations.

I dont have a layout but I do have a couple of suggestions

1) find an MK1, MKII, MK3, UMK3, or WWF Wrestlemania layout. 4 of the 6 button holes line up, you just need to remove the block button and put the medium attack buttons in their place.
2) just order a KI1 or KI2 CPO from gameongraphix then use it as a template

Speaking of GameonGraphix, someone did order and ended up got wrong size - it's not what "he/she" expected since it's way a bit too small.. Not sure?

welp this is the best I can do. Measured my KI Panel (13 1/4 x 26 5/8) and took the preview image from Game On Graphix

This is only 72dpi with a reduced color palette to reduce the file file.

I would recommend ordering a Lexan overlay from ctozzi, he's on arcade-museum.com or you can buy it from him on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Killer-Instinct-Arcade-Jamma-1-2-Pre-Drilled-Nos-Fit-Lexan-Control-Panel-Cover-/181320443465?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a378a6649

I bought one of these for my original dedicated KI2 and it fits on the original control panel flawlessly... you'll want one of these for a conversion anyway and it will give you a perfect template to work from.

1. they button playcement on MK panels is completely different than KI2... I own an original dedicated MK2... a grand total of 0 buttons line up between the MK 5/6 button layout and the KI 6-button layout...

If anyone is interested the MK operators manual comes with a template with measurements for drilling the the MK button pattern, it wont help you with a KI 6-button layout but it's very handy if you're going for an MK layout.... I have template in my paper manual I can scan if anyone is having trouble finding a pdf of it online.

2. the Game on Graphics CPO fits very poorly... I ordered one for my restoration and it didn't even come close to lining up... even if it did line up they used an old faded CPO as their source scan so all the deep red flames on the CPO look orange. yuck.

If you need the KI2 CPO graphics I actually found someone who had an original New-Old stock with beautiful PERFECT colors (deep rich reds) they wouldn't sell it to me but they let me borrow it to get it scanned... which I did on 2 different scanners.

I sent them to thisoldgame.com to get a repo made and I received a test print, the colors were almost perfect but the sizing was a little off... that was months ago and it's a low priority for him but if anyone is interested in getting the scans let me know and I can send you a link.

Welp, we were both wrong. I just pulled all the buttons and sticks from my KI1 and my MKII, matched up the plastics, and they dont all line up like I was told before. However, the start buttons, joystick holes and "top left" button do in fact line up (High Punch & Jab)
