Castlevania (Haunted Castle) Art
« on: February 09, 2014, 01:56:27 am »
So, my cousin came over to my house this passed weekend and after playing arcades all night, decided he wanted an arcade himself.  He is a huge Castlevania fan and after me showing him Haunted Castle which really is a "lost" Castlevania game, he was sold.  He wants it to play NES and Haunted Castle so I drew up this CPO for him.

Pretty killer IMO.

the subtle skulls in the flames is nice.. I think i would make the Logo a bit more "stick out" and the flames a little less.. but its excellent work IMHO

I've got a poster of that on my wall. One of my favourite videogame paintings, along side the Gradius one.   :applaud:

Nice but I would move the character out of the joystick zone. The stick and washer will cover a big part of it otherwise and a stick sticking out of a character looks very odd. I would also add more buttons to make it support more games.

washers can be put under the panel, they can also be made out of a clear material.

I think a clear washer would be your best bet.  The two things that get me are the small Konami over Draculas face and the Castlevania's in the flames.  A little distracting but other wise a real solid control panel.

The Castlevanias in flames are meh, but I completely agree with the Konami logo. it should be either remove or at least moved.
