Micro cocktail cab being built :)
« on: November 30, 2003, 04:44:14 am »
After seeing the wonderful designs in the micro-cab comp I decided to build a mini cocktail cab for myself.

I will be getting a 5" B&W screen for $30 this xmas and i will use this as the monitor.

I was first thinking of a pong game using 1 of them handheld pong tv things. but then i thought about using space invaders and printing a overlay on clear sheets (i can get some from my old work)

but after searching i am a bit confused on whats the right cocktail control panel and all.

My other problem is finding the game that can fit in a small space.

i know about the handhelds but they cost to much and they have games other than space invaders which really makes using a overlay useless.

So im wondering if you guys had any idea of getting space invaders or any other B&W game as a Micro cocktail cab  ??? ??? ???

But i just bidded for 3 old home arcade machines

its them old machines that use that special 3 game cip that had driving gun game and pong there is another system in that bundle and all he said was is tempest so if its a console that has tempest on it i will use that :D

also 1 of the main reasons for not doing pong is that well they dont have 1 player mode besides off the wall play :\

Well i finally got the tv :D looking at it im wondering if i should do a standup instead of cocktail but we will see.

It doesn't look that bad it looks like it should be made into a standup cabinet :)

so what do u think? pong is the only game i have so far i wanna get space invaders but the only thing i can get it on is 1 of them $50 colecovision controllers and that has more games that just space invaders so its kinda a waste to have space invaders with the colour stuff over it to make it look like the arcade game.
