Win7 USB -> PS2 [Solved]
« on: January 13, 2014, 06:38:39 am »
Hey,

I have a problem with one of my two usb to ps2 adapters.
I'm using the os default drivers to install them!
One is a "Super Box 4" which win7 installs and shows up correclty as "Twin USB Joystick" under the Gamecontroler Tab.

Anyway my other adapter called "EMS Dual Shooter" also installs the generic hid drivers correctly. But it does not show up under the Gamecontroler Tab. (In XP it did with the name "4axis + 16buttons")

Now it is possible to use the controlers attached to the ems device in certain programs but in others it wont get detected!
Dolphin detects the 4axis+16buttons adapter using sdl
Nestopia seems to not support sdl but just directinput, as a result I cannot use the adapter with nestopia!

Further I tried to use the EMS USB Driver, but windows didn't care and installs generic usb drivers with same results!

Anyone got an idea besides buying another adapter?

u have to install ems vista beta driver! After that run Start -> Programm Files -> EMS -> Update Driver! Eventually win takes ems driver and shows controllers correclty!
