Ok, just wanted to make sure you hadn't bought it already in order to be truly honest. I don't think there's much advantage in using a tri-sync LCD monitor, as long as you are going to connect it to a PC. A different story is if you're going to use 15 kHz sources like PCBs or consoles. Think that the LCD's board will just upscale everything to the native resolution of the panel, whatever it is. And this scaling is usually worse than the one you can do with your video card, so IMO it's better to always feed LCD monitors with their native resolution and keep the scaling under our control.
