This new ArcadeMAME version incorporates important developments in
especially the possibility to use the Switchres from Calamity, this
allows ArcadeMAME to use "magic modelines" like GroovyMAME.

News
----

- ID4 Mame now is ArcadeMAME.

- Switchres compatible (included), thanks to the new XML engine.

- Thanks to Switchres, ArcadeMAME can use "magic modelines" like GroovyMame.

- ArcadeMAME includes a wrapper "ArcadeMAME.exe" to use with integrated Switchres from a frontend.

- ArcadeMAME intros for frontends at low resolution (384x256) or at high resolution with or without scanlines (640x480).

- 38 new options (49 in total!).

- Rewrote the XML generation engine .

- Hack for the latest ATI graphics cards that do not allow "low dotcloks" below 384px.

- Ability to set the number of pixels that the when ATI card hack is activated, default 384px.

- Ability to set if the hack for ATI cards are only active for vertical, horizontal or both games.

- 23 new options for configuring Mame UI, increasing the ArcadeMAME customizing ability.

- Rewritten the text rendering routines for Mame UI, now are more efficient and accurate.

- "Tons" of bugs fixed, especially for compatibility with Switchres, text rendering and screen rotation.

- If is exceeded maximum number of characters for "titles", ArcadeMAME reset to the default value and not stop the execution.

- Hack for "Golden Axe 2" and its derivatives to use the correct screen resolution.

- Version of the executable at 60 Hz, change the frequency to 60 Hz for games with 50 Hz or more, very interesting for LCD monitors.

- You can now toggle on or off the "warnings" and "disclaimer".

- CRT Emudriver, VMMaker and ArcadeOSD included.

- Hiscore.dat, cheat-dat and history.dat included.

- Include 4 Mame 106 XML files for different uses.

- New logo for ArcadeMAME.

- Included a "Quick Reference Card" for fast GUI configuration of ArcadeMAME.

You know, when I posted my own variant of MAME that violates their (worthless) license even less than yours, I got banned for a month. 

My how times have changed...

Detected  problem with the wrapper "ArcadeMAME.exe" included in the distribution of ArcadeMAME 20131201, It has already been corrected.

You can download ONLY file "ArcadeMAME.exe" here, and then replace it on your downloaded distribution, or download the full distribution again, the "ArcadeMAME.exe" has already been replaced on it.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience that may have caused.

i prefer these older versions for gaming to perfect emulation and slower.

That is the idea, as I say in ArcadeMAME docs, the vast majority of most played games of mame are perfectly emulated in Mame 106.

Have not seen deference between games like "Rastan" or "Ghosts And Golbins" in more recent versions of Mame, unless going slower or slowdowns.

ArcadeMAME106 run at full speed even in modest machines. And you can use Multimame if you want to run games not emulated in Mame 106, to configure another more advanced version of Mame for that games.

Anyway, future versiones of ArcadeMAME (if any) will based in more advanced versions of Mame
