Replacement for this plastic part?
« on: November 18, 2013, 07:35:44 pm »
Hi,

Am a newbie and am converting a showcase cabinet.  On the front corners of the control panel are plastic pieces that form a rounded corner where the two peices of wood come together.  They are very brittle and break when any pressure is applied.  Any clue what these are called and where I can find a replacement?

Thanks.

Don't use plastic.  Just get wooden dowel and run it through a bandsaw to quarter it, then glue in place.

Yeah, those are just ugly.  Go with these:

Sturdier over the long haul.

BUT if you have your heart set on that stuff, it's basically 90 degree corner molding - http://displayproductsonline.com/3-16-in-x-90-degree-corner-molding-4-762-mm.html

You may have to measure how big your joint is to find the right fit but that should give you the key what to look for.
