FCEUX with Aimtrak Gun?

I'm at a loss. I've googled everything I could find and for some reason I cant find a concise way to set up my FCEUX with my Aimtrak gun. For some reason I cant even hit anything when using the mouse. Can anyone shed some light on how to set this up? I've seen videos with crosshairs, and would love to rehash some of my favorite Zapper games. Thanks!

I checked this help guide for the Emulator I am at the office so I cant check the settings my self but can you chnage the zapper to be port 2?

Most Zapper NES games expect the Zapper to be plugged into port 2. and most VS Unisystem games expect the Zapper to be plugged into port 1.


The left mouse button is the emulated trigger button for the Zapper. The right mouse button is also emulated as the trigger, but as long as you have the right mouse button held down, no color detection will take place, which is effectively like pulling the trigger while the Zapper is pointed away from the television screen. Note that you must hold the right button down for a short time to have the desired effect.

Try FCEU Ultra.  I don't think it's the same as FCEUX.  I made the below video a while back using FCEU Ultra.

I thought FCEUX was better than Ultra. I read the instructions for the emulator, but I still cant get it to work. I cant figure out how to get the crosshairs, nor use my mouse to play the game. The Zapper is on Port 2

For non-Zapper games, I'm sure it is. If Ultra works better for Zapper games, just use it for those.  I tried a bunch of emulators and Ultra was the one I decided worked the best with the Aimtrak.

Okay, I downloaded FCE Ultra, and presto, I got the crosshair now. But another problem has arisen. With the mouse, I can move the crosshair easily enough, but when I pick up my Aimtrak, the crosshair goes apeshit, and moves away. When I can get it back on screen, its noticeably off to the right of where I'm pointing. I have the gun configured perfectly already, and it works with my mouse pointer on Windows. Any idea of how to configure the gun for FCE Ultra. I cant seem to configure the Zapper in the Input options, and I am using Fullscreen for the options.

I don't believe it works in full screen. The Aimtrak is an absolute pointing device which the program doesn't seem to like. I just made a black background on my computer and hide the icons and taskbar.
