how do I wire this up?
« on: November 04, 2013, 01:45:21 pm »
I found this in a scrap pile that I have, do I need anything extra to make this work? (I read online that I might need something else to make the volume adjustable).

On a standard jamma connector pinout sheet, what number is the service credits?

What about "test", is that number 15?

Im trying to use this for my Ultraman Club game, so im not sure if there is a service or test function do I wire it anyways?

that is a service switch assembly from a williams machine.

the buttons are just that, buttons. what you wire them up to is your choice.

But they won't just magically control the volume, the buttons were wired to the board. The board (with it's integrated amplifier) adjusted the volume.

I'm not sure how the ultraman board is set up (if even it has the provisions to adjust the volume outside of the software. but, If there is a volume "pot" that you can turn up or down to adjust the volume inside the cabinet, these buttons aren't going to help.

Actually that also looks exactly like what some of the Midway cabs use and I am seeking one for my Blitz/Showtime coin door so if you end up not having a use for it please do let me know.
