If all you're doing is the CP for your DK/Mario cab it MIGHT work.

Battery power + trim router (intended for use on laminate) + T-molding bit = not likely to work for too long.

I'd definitely advise against using that setup for a full-size-cab side.

Consider renting (or buying used) a good full-size corded router.

I agree with PL1. Good routers can be found on craigslist for 20 -30 bucks all the time.

  • And to the death god we say, "Not today!"
For a router to work properly it needs high RPM and high torque.  Battery power cannot supply either of those for very long.  I love the Ryobi 1+ series, I have several of them myself.  I'd not bother with this router.

  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Just realize that the one you linked is just the router assembly --- NO BATTERY OR CHARGER INCLUDED so expect to pay another $60-$80 for the battery and charger ( ie. This $60 unit http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-18-Volt-One-Lithium-Ion-Upgrade-Kit-P128/203466924#.UnenJxDOT40 ) -- so the entire thing without any bits and only a single battery will be running $120 !!! (you usually want at least 2 batteries if using it very often so you don't have to wait 4 hours for it to recharge in the middle of a job -- which would mean this $130 dual battery pack http://www.homedepot.com/p/Unbranded-18-Volt-Compact-Lithium-Plus-and-Charger-Kit-2-Pack-P109-117/204100851#.UneokBDOT40  )

Late to the party but yeah, corded router will serve you better with what you're planning to do.
