Ordered a Yoga 2 Pro direct from Lenovo the day they released it, even got the 'Lenovo Exclusive' tangerine color that you can only get directly from the factory.

Got an email the other day saying the order has been delayed by 30 days, AND THEN THE NEXT DAY they announce Ashton Kutcher is a now a Lenovo product engineer, a coincidence??? I think not!!!!

So if Kutcher would spend a little less time punking everyone in the cafeteria and a little more time making my laptop I'd A-fuppin'preciate it!!!!

Yeah I've been waiting for this to come out, I almost got the original Yoga, but it had crappy resolution and no Haswell chip set so the battery life wasn't stellar. They've addressed all those issues with this new one, so I jumped on it as soon as it came out, so did another billion people it seems

My wife's got the 11" version that came out over the summer.  (It was some Best Buy variation or something)  It is an excellent laptop computer that frankly makes everything else obsolete.  She's a long term Apple fan was all hot and bothered to get a Macbook Air and I just said, "I'm not saying no, but I'm saying I think things have changed... you might want to take a look at this..."

Yeah, no going back.  I do have to laugh when we do stupid ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- on it like playing Othello but why not.

I really like the form factor, it's very versatile.

At work I got a Lenovo 'Combat Kit' that they sent me to play with for a few weeks. It had a Helix, Carbon, Yoga and the Pro Tablet. They all had pretty interesting qualities, but the Yoga stood out to me personally, only at that time the small issues I mentioned earlier were my only concerns.

Can't wait for this new puppy to arrive with that insane screen resolution and great battery.

The carbon was very sleek and fancy, but just a very expensive laptop at the end of the day. Helix is a nice idea but the battery life still seemed kinda crap, and again pricey.

My Sony Xperia Z 10 is much more superior and I can use a PS3 controller out of the box.   

I did look at a Yoga but I was disappointed that it was an android and not a Windows 8 slate.

Was going to ask if you had considered the surface pro 2 and then I started wondering about the differance between the two of them. I found this:

I really want this, but I'm waiting for them to update the 11" version. Strangely, Best Buy, but not the Lenovo website, has an 11" sku with a Haswell chip in it, but no other upgrade, i.e., it weighs as much as the refreshed (slimmed down) 13" version and lacks the updated resolution and backlit keyboard. So I'm determined to wait it out. It can't be long before they give the 11" version the same treatment as the 13".

Speaking of disabling the keyboard, have you seen the Thinkpad Yoga that's about to be released? When that screen is flipped into tablet mode the keyboard tray raises up flush with the keys and the keys lock, so you have more-or-less a normal flat surface feeling on the back of the tablet. It's pretty freaking ingenious, but it's a bit thicker and heavier than the regular Yoga.

Yeah the retracting keyboard is pretty cool looking, although I'm not sure how long it would take to break it, also I think I remember the screen on the ThinkPad being lower res and it not having as good battery life, although I could be wrong.

Estimated delivery date now is Nov 20th, can't wait
