colour issue on mame through maximus arcade (tv)
« on: October 25, 2013, 09:12:09 am »
HI,
I have a mame cab, running maximus arcade through a philips crt tv .
I had it working fine, picture was great, colour etc.
Tv blew, got a new one (almost identical model)
Anyway, since getting the new one, the colours are really bright on some of the games, especially super mario bros, pac land and anything with rich colours.
Funny thing is on mario and pac land, if I press pause the colour is perfect?

I went to the .ini file and changed the brightness to be the same as what was set for pause brightness (think it was 0.65 from 1.0)
It fixed mario and pac land but was too dark for other games (robocop etc.)
Its funny that this was displaying ok on the old tv?

I can't find a remote to change the brightness on the tv (if that is the issue)
Is there anything else I can do?

I am also running a cheap ati , pci radeon card.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Sham.
