PS3 MK Arcade Controller w/ PC + MAME and Android

I posted this in software as I think a software fix might exist.
But I was unsure if it was suited for here also.

I picked up a very basic Android tablet that I never use so I decided to add some emulators to it.
I wanted to give my MK stick a try so I picked up a USB adapter and tried a Joystick test app.

All buttons and the joystick registered on screen. However in the MAME emulators nothing worked, not the joystick or buttons.

So I took the controller and tried it on my PC with MAME.
Joystick doesnt register any movement, but the buttons do.
I opened note pad to see what keys if any were registered, but none. So it obviously doesn't work like an encoder.

Anyway I can get a stick like this working ?
