Homemade VGA cable, not sure what to do with Sync (K7000)
« on: October 11, 2013, 10:01:02 pm »
Thanks for all the help from this forum previously.

So I'm making my own video cable. I've pinned Red, Green, Blue, Ground.. But when it comes to connecting Sync I can't find a clear answer.

I've seen sites that say, Horizontal Sync wire goes to Horizontal sync spot on the monitor, and vertical wire goes to vertical sync on the board..

And I've seen sites that say you combine the two sync wires and they both go negative Horiz. Sync spot on the board.

Which is it?

Using Powerstrip, I had a fast moving rolling image which slowed down when I adjusted the V Hold Pot, but I still think something else is wrong.

I know the monitor is fine technically because I had seen it hooked up less than an hour prior.

THanks for any help!
