Routing for t-moulding.com mould
« on: October 02, 2013, 06:17:57 am »
I've due to have some arrive very soon but I need to get shopping for my router parts. Is there a fixed size for t-moulding slots in general or does it vary?

Check the page where you ordered the t-molding.

For example, Smooth Black 3/4" t-molding from GGG uses a 1/16" slot cutter, but the Chrome Stripe 3/4" uses a .080" - 3/32" slot cutter.

IIRC, 1/16" is the most common size.

Looks like the stuff I've bought is for 3/32 which isn't ideal :(

Need a UK supplier for router parts now!

Too bad you didn't order the cutter when you ordered the t-molding to save on the postage but T-molding.com does have it ( http://www.t-molding.com/store/home.php?cat=6 )

Damn :(

Is it an unusual size then? I'm wondering if I'll get away with a slightly smaller / larger cut and be able to seal it up with adhesive to allow for the different size.
