Hello everyone

My setup:

XPx64 sp2
Hantarex MTC9000\a (MTC9000\a chassis, more info here)
Asus EAH4350 (specs)
J-pac

crt_emudriver_9.3_1.2a_x64_multisync.rar
vmmaker_1.3c_arcade_osd_1.3b.rar

I've been having trouble just trying to troubleshoot and set up the pc in 640x480i and also with 15khz resolutions, for example with the neo geo resolution the screen often drops down about an inch or two depending on the scene in the game.

Please help  ;)

I'm not very sure of what's going on there, but it definitely seems to be related with the vertical sync. If you weren't using a JPAC, I'd tell you to check the wirings. But as long as the sync led is on all the time, which will surely be the case, that can't be the problem. Maybe check the v-sync potentiometer. It could be a bit loose.

Thanks for replying. I fiddled round some more and after a fresh install of xpx64 and crt_emudriver_9.3_1.2a_x64_multisync the Asus EAH4350 (specs) only had those sub 640x480 modes !
Either my card is dodgy or its not fully compatible?

I also have a dell radeon X300 (I can get the exact model) and this worked much better (the youtube vids above were with this card) and it had the expected resolutions after installing crt_emudriver_6.5_1.2_x64_multisync. And finally I got the screen to stabilize by turning the Vertical Hold pot.  :applaud:

I think all of the resolutions I tried this evening were to the right a bit too much, am I able to make a global adjustment in software without adjusting the Horizontal Shift pot?

...Thanks...

My fault indeed, the current 9.3_x64 package lacks the custom modes. You need to explicitly add them once installed by running VMMaker.

Yes, although I'd adjust the horizontal shift pot instead. If you prefer to do it by software, you need to create a custom preset reducing the current H back porch and increasing the H front porch by the same amount.
