Macromedia Freehand MX (ver.11) files are not supported by Illustrator CS2, you need to convert them to Freehand 9 version

. Anyway, I donīt recomend it. I had some bad experiences in the past about handling files converted into many different formats (missing gradient sections, uneditable elements, moved shapes, weird colors, etc).
Take a look at the video labelled as
2. Migrating Existing FreeHand Content on this
webpage and you will understand what I mean.
I know that having this files in Freehand format is a little bit annoying, sorry

, but I've tried to migrate to Illustrator a lot of times without any success. As Freehand is really easy to use, I feel really confortable working with it (I'm very lazy, I know

). When I want to edit the final file to add some effects I just drag and drop the entire object into Photoshop and there it is, ready to the next step

.
Another option would be uploading 300dpi images. I can post you the links, if you prefer

Edit:
I've just found this funny video: Freehand vs Illustrator.
