Understanding the service menu B&O MX4000

Hello all.
For my upright cabinet i use a Bang & Olufsen television, the PCB inside is a 60in1 Jamma.
Now, the image of ome games are a bit offset. Qix for example. The left line is from the image is not visible.
I can get into the service menu from the telly.
Some of the terms in this menu i understand, other i don't.
Can someone tell me what will happen if i adjust them?

Rdr (Red drive)
Gdr (Green drive)
Rcu (Red cut-off balance)
Gcu (Green cut-off balance)

BRI (Brilliance preset)
COL (Colour preset)

Hfq (Horizontal frequency)
Hph (Horizontal phase) Should be Horizontal position?
Ham (Horizontal amplitude)Should be Horizontal size?

Vam (Vertical amplitude) Should beVertical size?
Vsc (Vertical s-correction)
Vsh (Vertical shift (centering)) Should be Vertical position?
Vli (Vertical linearity)

EWc (East West corner)
EWp (East West parabola)
EWt (East West tilt)

hello i recommend you write down all of the current service menu settings, so when you do make changes you can easily put them back to their default setting if you want to cancel some or all of your changes

to adjust horizontal and vertical size, change Vam and Ham

Vsh for vertical position
Hph for horizontal position

for overall colour and brilliance adjust BRI and COL

Yes i did that. The problem i that i only can into the service menu when the TV is at an ordinary TV channel, not at ext1.
So i have to switch over and over again. And than it is hard to see some difference.
I did some adjustments at Hph, Ham, Vam and Vsh. It's better but still missing some of the image at some games, not all though.

the problem with a game like QIX is, for that game your tv would need to be able to display the resolution 256x256

many tv's struggle to display 256 lines on the vertical*

you could try to greatly reduce vertical amp (Vam) ..   go to the ordinary tv channel and in the service menu reduce Vam by a large amount, so that hopefully all of the 256 lines are displayed, but, if you find that no adjustments to the Vam allow for the entire Qix screen to be displayed, it means unfortunately your tv cannot handle the task of displaying 256 vertical lines

ps. i hear a sony trinitron is good for displaying lots of vertical lines


*by vertical i mean the shorter length of your tv screen, so if you currently have your tv mounted vertically (ie. standing tall), the vertical would be the left and right hand side of the screen

When reducing Vam the right side don't become visible. So it's a resolution problem indeed, i think.
Also from the game Ms. Pacman is just a little bit missing, only in the up-right corner, but i can live with that.
I heard before that a Trinitron would be a better choice. The reason i choose for B&O is that the neck is more than 3" shorter than other 21" tubes.
This gave me the ability to build a upright that is less big, as it stays in my livingroom.
