Space Invaders Anniversary - how cool!

Not sure if this has been mentioned here before, but check this out:

http://www.tronixweb.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/product3184.html

The PS2 controller goes inside the mini-cocktail in order to use the stick/button!

I believe is comes with a selection of SI games, original and new :)

Here's another site with more pics.

Looks like it would be hard to play in that vertical position.

I always thought it would be hard to play the real cocktails
with the panel mounted like that, never played one though.

Well I've ordered one from a UK site, so I would report back how it plays...but I haven't actually got a PS2 (might get one now)!

The real cocktails are not the most comfortable things to play...I find the 2-way sticks easy enough, but the button is a bit awkward (especially for quick firing).  Great fun tho  ;D

the 2nd link page specifies only playable with Japanese/Asian systems only and the first link says Japan after the product name. do you need a japanese ps2 or are there hacks to allow playing of japanese discs?

I suspect you would need a Japanese PS2, a modded (non-Jap) PS2, or some kind of boot-disk (Freeloader?).

Or you could hack a PS pad / get a PS>USB converter and use it with MAME on your PC ;)
