It's only November. He can still win at this point. He doesn't go into full blown gag mode until December.
A few weeks ago, during one of those weak moments when I wasn't watching the game on a DVR and skipping all the commentary, I saw an elaborate analysis explaining how Romo wasn't really a choker if you looked at his fourth quarter numbers. My first thought was, about 5 minutes into preparing this analysis it should have dawned on the writer that the very fact you're compiling it kind of proves the point. My second thought was that I never thought Romo blew it solely in the last quarter, but there was always some key drive and he was guaranteed to throw a pick.
Thinking a little deeper, I go back to my Jason Garret conspiracy theory where I was convinced he was intentionally blowing play choices when he was offensive coordinator just to make the coach look bad. 95% of the game would be excellent and then you'd see a weird play that defied all reason and they'd lose. Went through that for two seasons. With Romo calling the plays, you don't see that anymore, but you still get the picks.
It's been a very frustrating era to be a Cowboys fan, and I suffered through 1989.
