  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
First, I want to thank you for making Groovymame. It's a fantastic piece of software, and I really appreciate it!

This is the monitor I have. So far, I've just been using generic 15khz for Groovymame, but I'm wondering if there are better settings for it.

Thanks!

you'll likely have more success at identifying the chassis if you post in the 'monitor/video' forum...

  • Quote me with care
As far as it's a standard arcade monitor (15 kHz only), these presets are possible, from more conservative to less:

- generic_15
- arcade_15
- arcade_15ex

Usually arcade_15 is a good compromise. To judge if you ought to use the arcade_15 or arcade_15ex presets, try a game like 1942, on an horizontal monitor. If the screen goes out of sync, then go back to the previous preset (generic_15).
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
