Romlister issue with Hyperspin
« on: July 29, 2013, 04:03:00 pm »
Hi all,

I downloaded romlister, followed the instructions and created a new mame.xml using only the type of games I want. I swapped this mame.xml file with the database one and the mame wheel on hyperspin works fine apart from when i go to open a rom, sometimes it works, most of the time I get loading and it goes straight back to the wheel. Are they faulty roms? Also is there a way to skip the press left right to say you agree thing at the start?

Any help would be great, thanks!

this doesn't sound like a romlister issue to me...I wrote it, so I need to defend its honor!  ;D

the roms you have are probably incompatible/incomplete with the version of MAME you are using.

I'm not a HS user, so I can't really give any advice on troubleshooting it inside of HS, but i'd try to pop into a command window and run your copy of MAME directly and see if the ROM also fails- if it does, it's the ROM and not HS and definitely not romlister.
