Mamewah 1.69 is it still working?

I'm trying to upgrade my cabinet from a pre 1.61 version of Mamewah. I'm running Windows XP. I've tried 2 machines and I get the same errors. Right now I'm only trying to get Mame working.

When I launch Mamewah it starts off on MAME with "JoyStick Games" selected. When I hit TAB the Options window opens, but it's empty. If I press the 1 key while the empty Options window is open I get an internal error.

I made no changes to mamewah.ini

I did run the system files setup.bat and I even reboot. Same problem on both machines.
