So this unfortunately happened.  If the Wings brought it home such criminal acts wouldn't have happened.  Though someone would make the grievous mistake of letting Kid Rock touch it.  Uncle Si says, "Rule #1.  Don't let talentless musician hacks touch The Cup.  Thats a fact, Jack."

2) Superstitions are dumb

3) The rule is 'civilians' are allowed to touch the cup and even pick it up, but they just can't pick it up over their head.... (see #2).  When each winning player spends their day with the cup in their hometown, people are constantly touching it and picking it up...

4) Beiber is a ---meecrob---...

5) NHL players who haven't won the cup won't touch it... (see #2)

Superstitions can be very useful. Many Footballers from Italy and Spain and some parts of South America such as Brazil and Argentina have a lot of superstitions before games.

It isn't the superstition that is useful but the state of mind it puts the players in before the game.
If you've followed what you usually do, you feel unblocked mentally to do what you need to without doubting yourself.

Another thing with Football you don't get to touch it if you haven't won it.  You have to walk past it you can almost touch it from 2 feet way but you can't.

Manchester United, my team. Were losing the final of the Champions League and Alex Ferguson the manager said to the players at half time, you see that beautiful shining trophy out there?

If you don't turn this game around Bayern Munich will have it. You will walk up to receive your runners up medals you will be six inches away from it, but you can't touch it.

Anyway point is, in the last minute of the game we scored. Which put us into overtime I suppose you guys would call it, extra time 2 x 15 minutes and then within another 30 seconds we scored again.

Won the Champions League and they were the ones who didn't get to touch it.

I've touched the Stanley Cup before. Twice, even, about a decade apart.

Yes but it was normal added time. Three minutes has always been the standard ad on even in non event games. But yeah Fergie Time. ;) :D :D
