Auto-On TV with HDMI
« on: July 01, 2013, 09:31:58 pm »
I have a built arcade with a pc, 26" westinghouse led tv.  I currently have everything on a slave surge protector, with an external wired power button for the pc, with "VGA Port-DPMS" i believe its called turned on on the tv.  This setup works great, press the power button on the back and everything comes on.

Question is, I would love to switch to HDMI to the TV, which makes the picture look much better.  However, if I do this, my TV doesn't auto-turn on/off.

What am I not thinking of here to be able to accomplish the HDMI hookup and allow for 1 button power on for everything?  Is there a way to do this? Any ideas?
