How to be allowed to post on NeoGaf?
« on: June 28, 2013, 01:31:55 pm »
I signed up there in February to brag about my free Burger King :burgerking: Wii U they had a thread there for. I signed up, can log in and all that. Never was able to post. When I try, I get this error:

1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Now I never recieved any type of activation email or anything. Just today I thought I would try and post something in regards to Pac-Man Museum. Still getting that error. I forgot my password and I got the email password reminder from them, so I can receive their emails. I also replyed to that email with the same question I am asking here.

Anyone else have this problem?

see if you can send a private message or an e-mail to the administrator. perhaps the verification system is froze up or stalled.

Some video game forum, I guess. I found it one day searching google. No idea what it means. Reminds me of NeoGeo.

I can't find any way to do that. Can anyone contact them for me? My username there is the same as here.

I wonder if people ask for help on BYOAC on their forums (or KLOV's)
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Yeah man, I have the same problem with the Right Said Fred Fan club forum. If anyone could email the admin for me as well, I would appreciate it.

There is a E-mail link on the forum page linked above under CONTACT US that gives you the e-mail address to use to contact them (pretty much the same as most forums)

I tried registering there once (mostly because podcasts I listen to constantly reference it), six months later I got a rejection email (?), I had forgotten I'd even started the process.

That is all to say, I am not sure if there is any rhyme or reason to their process. In retrospect i don't think i would have posted much anyway, and people I follow on twitter will link to any relevant threads there on the occasion one comes up.
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Reminds me of when I first signed up for Facebook. At the time, I only had a yahoo mail account. Facebook wouldn't email me confirmation until I made a gmail account.

e-mail is e-mail, regardless where you get it from. if you are there to spam, you are going to do it, regardless if you have a hotmail.com address or a Inetservprovidor.com address.
