roms for mame

I am trying to set up a mame arcade jukebox with a arcade cabinet.I downloaded mame32ui.When I open it the window comes up with all the games on it.It says something about needing roms.I dont understand what that means.If I click on a game it always says not found.Also I want to put on a jukebox.Is there a certain software I SHOULD use for that.I am running  windows XP

You need to get the game ROMS -- Mame does not include them and we are not allowed to discuss where to get them from as in most places it is illegal to just download them as technically you can only use ROMS that you have a license to use and even pulling them from sources you own is a violation of most EULAs and sites that allow the discussion of where to get them usually come under fire from the various companies that own the licenses thus most sites do not allow discussion of where or how to get them.

Mountaindew,. You need to collect the roms. That list is just an autopopulating list showing all roms that came out that WILL work with mame.

It should be noted there are 'some' free roms on the Mame website. Some have also been given over to the community by their developers.

You may or may not see DVDs listed on Ebay that sell a 'package' of the MAME software ready to go. Go have a look Turns out in the US and Canada you can't.

I hope company's (Rights holders) release commercial collections specifically for mame surely they are missing a trick?

Just to spell it out in case you thought these were just suggestions it is against the rules to ask for roms on this forum (or most forums really).  Doing so repeatedly will get you banned and any response we would give you would be censored anyway.
