@Maximus

That's because "Father Ted" and "Fawlty Towers" rocks.

"That's nearly as mad as that thing you told me about the loaves and fishes!"

"Ohhhh yeah, if I was Elvis and I had that cup I'd be great!!"

Father Ted was absolute genius, hard to pull single scenes out of context, but for a show nearly 20 years old, it still hasn't lost it's magic, yet again so much of the humor is based in cultural memes and years of background that it's hard to translate.

Saying all that, here's a classic scene where Father Ted and Father Dougal decide they are going to write a song to enter into the 'Song for Europe' competition...

and later in the show, Dougal dreams of how awesome the music video for his song will be...

This isn't too new for me. I used to watch Prisoner with my mum.

Prisoner - or The Prisoner?

AND!

This is one of the things I really love about US tv. Even the ugly people are played by beautiful people!

I am British and I can confirm I have bad teeth.

Hah hah hah hah. I think about this from time to time. You know the reason for congenital infirmities and general disfigurements is malnutrition over generations. That's why a lot of am folks under 30 are starting to look weird. That and already funky looking people breeding.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Quote
the british version of Shameless beats the US version hands down.
The British version goes downhill after a few seasons (they lose the majority of their cast).
