GAPLUS Monitor issue - Lines on right side of screen
« on: June 17, 2013, 08:06:29 pm »
Curious if anyone knows how to fix this, I have original gaplus machine, I have seen the lines when the original PCD is connected, but they are much more noticeable in the 60 in 1 menu. Is my monitor on its way out?

looks to me like you have a 4900.

if it has not had a cap kit it needs one badly.

we will need to know what chassis you have before we can tell you what to try and adjust.

also the 4900 has issues with the 60-1's allot and this is not a uncommon problem.

you have a 4600.

those monitors are a POS IMO.
i do not work on them.

lots of people like them and they have a great pic when they work.

they need allot of work to fix up.

lots of cold solder joints on theses chassis.

take your time and take pics so you will know how it goes back together.

a cap kit and full reflow is what they need.

also be careful and do not break the width coil it is NLA.

Buffett, thanks again for the fast reply, can recommend a replacement since the screen has some burn in and the monitor is a POS in your opinion.

if you look around your area for a 19" tube TV you will probably be lucky and it will be compatible with a K7000.
you can swap the tube and add the chassis to it adjust and live happy.

i sell K7000 chassis if you do not have one.

you will need to check the tube #.
post it here and we can tell you if it will work or not.

it will need to start with A48 for the tube #.

i have done this several times and it works great.
